如果使用這種材料制作電池，理論上電池重量能比鋰離子池減半，厚度也會大幅縮小，儲電量高出數(shù)倍，并且按照美國倫斯勒理工學(xué)院研究人員估算，石墨烯陽極材料比鋰離子電池中常用的石墨陽極充放電速度要快10倍。比如，鋁電池只需1分鐘左右就完成快速充電。 myFC公司已于2013年出從外部向燃料電池模塊注入一湯匙左右的水進行發(fā)電的捌貳癿yFC PowerTrekk”，并且已開始銷售。 日產(chǎn)表示，公司用甘蔗以及谷物等莊稼制造的乙醇來生產(chǎn)汽車所需要的氫動力成本，將比其他競爭對手，包括豐田、以及現(xiàn)代汽車公司的燃料電池技術(shù)成本還要低。
